Hi, I’m Karenina.
I’m an Amen University Certified Elite Brain Health Professional (that's a mouthful) based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Though my training included addiction and substance abuse, I spent years focusing on brain health for autism and ADHD. My path shifted after being in a relationship with someone in recovery who later relapsed. Watching someone I loved struggle with addiction changed the way I understood both addiction and the brain. I saw firsthand how someone could genuinely want a different life and still feel unable to break free from the patterns keeping them trapped. It also made me aware of the great number struggling with this disease.
That experience stayed with me and created a deep desire in helping people struggling with addiction in ways that are not common, through the lens of brain health.
My experience was a heartbreaking one, but it gave my work a new purpose: to support people who are trying to break free from the chains of addiction, help them understand the brain behind their struggle, and build a healthier life beyond it.
I am thrilled you are here. Reach out, I'd love to hear from you.
